The Corvette ZR1 Hits 233 MPH With GM President Mark Reuss Driving

The upcoming 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is already proving to be one of the fastest cars in the world. General Motors President Mark Reuss recently tested the ZR1 on a track in Germany, reaching an incredible top speed of 233 mph. No production car under $1 million has matched this kind of performance. The Corvette ZR1 consistently exceeded 230 mph during multiple runs, setting a new milestone for American sports cars.

Fastest GM Car Ever

Beneath the 2025 Corvette ZR1 hood is a 5.5-liter, twin-turbocharged flat-plane crank V8 engine, generating an astonishing 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque. GM reports that the ZR1 can complete the quarter-mile in under 10 seconds. The engine's 8,000 rpm redline promises a thrilling drive, while the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission ensures quick shifts. A carbon fiber aero package delivers 1,200 pounds of downforce, improving the car's handling.

More Than Just Speed

Although the Corvette ZR1's speed is headline-grabbing, its design is equally impressive. The iconic split rear window makes a return, enhancing engine cooling. Available in bold colors like Competition Yellow Tintcoat Metallic and Torch Red, the ZR1 makes a bold statement. With 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, the ZR1 has a powerful, aggressive stance.

The driver-focused interior includes premium features like a unique performance steering wheel. Available upgrades include a 14-speaker Bose Performance Series sound system, Nappa leather seats, and a curb-view front camera.
