Chevrolet Reveals Blazer EV.R NASCAR Prototype at Daytona

In anticipation of this year's “legendary DAYTONA 500 race,” Chevrolet revealed its Blazer EV.R NASCAR Prototype. Although it didn't compete, this advanced concept previewed the future of electric racing. Below are its key highlights.

High-Performance Electric Powertrain

The Blazer EV.R NASCAR Prototype uses a fully electric powertrain instead of a V8. Three six-phase motors generate approximately 1,300 horsepower and reach up to 15,000 rpm.

A programmable all-wheel drive system handles power routing for detailed torque management. Constructed on a modified Next Gen chassis, it includes track-tuned suspension components and Goodyear Racing Eagle tires.

True Race Car Styling

Its styling draws from the “road-going Chevrolet Blazer SS EV,” yet its race-oriented upgrades are dramatic. A wide-body kit paired with a high rear wing enhances aerodynamics, while its low stance maintains grip through curves.

Motorsports Innovation

The EV.R NASCAR Prototype lets Chevy test pioneering racing tech destined for future motorsport endeavors and eventual production vehicles.
