2018 Chevrolet City Express Storage and Features
The Chevrolet City Express has two trim levels in 2018: The LS and LT. The LS is the basic model, while the LT offers a more upscale package of features. Both trims are outfitted with a 2-liter engine and 123 cubic feet of cargo space. The interior is outfitted with easy to clean plastic and vinyl covering that makes the City Express simple and quick to maintain for a busy delivery service or small business. The City Express LS covers the basics with anti-lock brakes, traction control, keyless entry, and power door locks. It also includes air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, a rearview monitor, power windows, cargo hooks in back, vinyl floors, side airbags, and a 2-speaker audio system. The City Express LT model adds more convenience with the addition of cruise control, power side mirrors with heat, and a rear parking assist. Both trims can be upgraded with a range of packages like tinted rear glass, a navigation system, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and a USB port for the music system.
Both models of the City Express come with a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine that packs 131 horsepower and delivers 139 foot-pounds of power with an continuously variable automatic transmission. It's not the most powerful engine, but it gives the City Express enough performance to handle city traffic while making deliveries and moving goods from place to place. It has good fuel economy compared to larger cargo vans with 24 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. Because of its smaller size, it handles closer to a car than a van. It's size also makes it ideal as a delivery van that can navigate confined city streets and alleyways.
2018 Chevrolet City Express Parking and Safety
Although it has yet to be tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the City Express comes with a suite of safety features. It comes standard with anti-lock brakes on all four wheels, traction control for slippery conditions, and airbags in the front and on each side. The LT model is also equipped with a rear parking assist to help the driver steer as he backs up to parallel park. There's also an optional backup camera that makes backing up to cargo doors or narrow driveways both safer and easier.
