Specs at a Glance
The first Chevrolet Colorado came out in 2004. It has always been marketed as a midsize pickup truck. Its size is smart and simple. Its engine is powerful and efficient. You can take it to work with you each day, and it’s even functional off the beaten path. It’s a very practical investment to consider if you are in the market for a new vehicle. Not a ton of changes have been made to this vehicle for the 2019 model year, but this is because the Colorado was very successful last year. There are a number of different trim levels available for the 2019 Chevy Colorado. Two options that you have are the Crew Cab and the Extended Cab. Let’s take a look at a detailed breakdown of these two vehicles. This will be helpful when contemplating which vehicle to purchase or lease from Vandergriff Chevrolet.
How Does Each Trim Differ in Performance?
For the 2019 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab and Extended Cab, the standard engine option is a 2.5-liter four cylinder. The Extended Cab comes with a 3.6-liter V-6. You can choose to upgrade this Extended Cab model to include a 2.8-liter turbodiesel inline-4 engine. It really depends on how much power you feel you are going to need. Think about what you are going to use your vehicle for. If you do a lot of towing and off roading, then you might want to stick to a higher-level package. This will ensure you get all of the power that you need. It’s best to invest in extra power now, than to realize you need more power later on.
Crew Cab & Extended Cab Appearance Differences?
Some additional visual benefits have come up for the Colorado Crew Cab and Extended Cab in 2019. New wheels (31-inches) have been added to the exterior of the Colorado. Skid plates are an available upgrade. Three new colors have been added to the palette for both of these models. This includes, Crush, Shadow Gray Metallic and Pacific Blue Metallic. The Crew Cab model has a few different bed lengths available. It also has the capabilities of being rear-wheel drive or front-wheel drive.
Must-Have Trim Features
One of the new interior features for the 2019 Crew Cab includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. If you opt for a higher trim level like the Extended Cab, you get an 8.0-inch touchscreen instead. All trim levels come with USB ports, a 6-way power seat in the driver’s spot and a high definition rear view camera. You have the option to upgrade to a heated steering wheel. You will be sure to stay safe with features like forward-collision warnings, lane departure warnings and more. These features are only available on the Extended Cab and upwards.
