    • Great Vehicle, Wish it was Still Made

We bought our 2000 Montana when it was a couple of years old and had 45,000 kilometers on it. The only real hiccup we have had in the 14 years we have owned it was a coolant gasket failure at about 100,000 km. That was a known flaw on GM vehicles and a lot of owners experienced the same problem. Otherwise, this has been an awesome vehicle. Reliable, comfortable, able to tow a tent trailer up and down mountain passes, great cargo capacity. Interior is comfortable and super durable. Carpets are still in great condition (carpets on our Mazda 3 wore through after about 5 years). Other than replacing the brake pads and the front wheel bearings last year, this van has required absolutely nothing. It will probably run for another 5 years. It is starting to rust in front of the rear wheels but that seems to happen to all Montanas of this vintage. All in all, we could not be happier with our Montana. I just hope the vehicle we replace it with is as good as this one.

Purchased this minivan off the lot and already had over 100000 miles on it! It has lasted us for well over 10 years and is still running! She is not pretty to look at now but is reliable and safe. I would purchase another one but they are hard to come by in good condition now.
    • Driven hard and many miles to go

We continue to enjoy this van, and we now have four kids, including teenagers. We've taken many cross-country trips, including taking it up Pike's Peak twice. As a result, we replaced the transmission at 120K miles, which has been our only major repair.
