Twin electric motors, an 18.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a 1.5L gas engine/generator make up the Volt's plug-in hybrid system. This setup, along with a continuously variable transmission, allows the 2018 Chevy Volt in Arlington to make up to 149 horsepower.
