What's New for the 2027 Chevrolet Suburban?
For the 2027 model year, the flagship Suburban High Country becomes a four-wheel drive trim. Meanwhile, a new White Sands exterior color option is now available for the RST and Z71 trims. Chevy also bolstered the RST trim by adding heated and ventilated front seats with four-way lumbar adjustment to its standard equipment list.
What Are the 2027 Suburban Trims & Features?
Chevrolet offers the new Suburban in six trim levels: LS, LT, Z71, RST, Premier, and High Country.
The entry-level LS trim is a great starting point. Some of its rewarding standard equipment includes a 17.7-inch center touchscreen with Google built-in, an 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and tri-zone automatic climate control. The leather-appointed LT trim adds conveniences such as heated front bucket seats and remote engine start.
Equipped with exclusive 22-inch alloy wheels and blacked-out exterior accents, the Suburban RST has an especially sporty look. It also allows you to enjoy the comfort of ventilated front seats.
If you plan to tackle the rough backcountry, the adventure-ready Z71 trim should get your attention. Rugged features, such as an aluminum skid plate and 20-inch all-terrain Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires, prepare you to hit the trails. An optional Off-Road Capability package further enhances the Suburban Z71's ability to tackle challenging terrain.
For drivers who desire more upscale comfort features, Chevrolet offers the luxurious Premier trim. Niceties include heated second-row bucket seats, a 10-speaker Bose audio system, and Magnetic Ride Control for enhanced ride quality.
At the top of the lineup sits the High Country trim, which boasts high-end interior materials and a head-up display.
How Much Horsepower Does the 2027 Suburban Have?
There are three available powertrains. A robust 5.3-liter V8 engine with 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque comes standard. You can opt for an even more muscular 6.2-liter V8 engine rated at 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. A capable yet highly efficient Duramax turbo-diesel engine is also available. Every engine is matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission. While rear-wheel drive comes standard on most trims, four-wheel drive is available.
