2021 Chevrolet Colorado

What's New For the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado?

A bolder attitude and more options than ever before are the main attractions for the 2021 Chevy Colorado. All trims get some aesthetic updates this year with wider, more prominent grilles to create squared front ends. Signature LED lights are also a key feature of the Colorado for safety and style. The design change continues to the back as well, with the Chevrolet name emblazoned across the rear. The Colorado also has some trim-specific updates, including more rugged all-terrain tires for the off-road trims. You have the option of a gasoline or diesel engine with the Colorado and a choice of two powertrains. While there are numerous standard technology features and creature comforts at every trim level, you also have many add-on options to build your own custom Chevy Colorado.

2021 Colorado Trims and Features

The first 2021 Colorado trim is the WT. With this trim, you can ride in comfort with air conditioning and power windows. The WT has room for five passengers, and its seats are covered in soft cloth. Technology includes a seven-inch infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Second in the lineup is the LT with WiFi hotspot included. The LT adds other features, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a power liftgate with a remote locking mechanism. The second to last trim, Z71, has several upgrades that offer heated seats, a Bose stereo, and more standard safety equipment. The ZR2 trim adds a spray-in bedliner and durable off-road tires. It also has a unique suspension system specifically designed to handle demanding off-road excursions.

2021 Chevy Colorado Horsepower

The standard engine for most Chevy Colorado trims is a 2.5L four-cylinder gasoline engine. This engine produces up to 200 HP. Its torque production exceeds 190 LB-FT. You can also choose a 2.8L four-cylinder diesel engine with a power output of 181 HP. Alternatively, those seeking more power can upgrade to the 3.6L V6 gasoline engine that delivers more power at 300 HP. Across all trims, you will find engines mated to either a six-speed or eight-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is available for all trims.

Chevy Colorado Safety

The safety features available for the Colorado increase as you move up the line. At a minimum, airbags protect all occupants in case of an accident. OnStar and cruise control are available at the base level and standard on the remaining trims. Automatic emergency braking is added on the LT, while the Z71 trim gets hill descent control.
